I built a live selling business on Whatnot from scratch in January 2025 while working full-time as a nurse and managing a household. I figured out what worked by doing it, and reached Premier Seller status in 15 months.
I hold a Florida auctioneer license and a Google AI certification. I teach Whatnot sellers how to structure their shows, build buyer retention, use AI without losing their voice, and run a real business, not just a side hustle.

Whatnot requires an application to sell. Your approval odds go up when your profile looks complete and your category is clear before you apply. Most people skip this step and wonder why they're stuck waiting.
The biggest mistake new sellers make is treating their first show like a test run. Buyers don't come back to rooms that feel unsure. You need a show structure before you go live, not after.
You do not need a garage full of inventory to start. Start lean, learn what your buyers actually respond to, and let your sales tell you what to source next. Cash flow stays clean when your inventory decisions follow your buyers instead of your guesses.
